{OOTD} | Red Coat and African Prints

Skirt – Custom | Trench Coat – Studio W @ Woolworths | Shoes – Aldo | Clutch – Aldo | Necklace – Zuri | Sunglasses – Gift Bag

Hi my lovelies. Today I am sharing the outfit I wore to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week SA with you. I wear lots of black and monochrome so I decided to go a little bright with this one.

I chose this African print skirt and used my accessories to compliment the colours in the fabric. Most of the pieces I wore are old. These yellow shoes have been in my closet for a while now and just brighten up any outfit.

The coat was a last minute thought because it began to pour with rain just before I left home. The rain (thankfully) stopped just ten minutes later. I really do love how it all looks together though. I finished the look with some Ruby Woo lipstick and a pair of quirky sunnies. After all what is Fashion Week without sunglasses?!

I hope you all have a fantastic week! Don’t forget that there’s a One Direction giveaway you can enter here. You can win 2 tickets to the Johannesburg show!

{OOTD} | PARDON MOI!

Leggings – Cotton On | Top – RE:_ @ Woolworths | Cardigan(old) – Jay Jays | Necklace(old) – MSC Boutique | Heels – Iron Fist | Ring – Swarovski

Woohoo! This is my 100th post and definitely one of my favourite outfits! I literally just threw it together and it really highlights elements of my personality. I love skulls but I am a girly girl. I can a bit (ok quite) rude at times, hence the PARDON MOI! And I LOVE Hello Kitty… I just got my prescription lenses put in these glasses and I doubt I will be taking them off anytime soon. I didn’t quite bother with my hair and I was honestly just happy with the way I looked :)

I really like t-shirts with little phrases on them and this is not quite a tee which I really love. The shape and cut is perfect to layer over leggings.  Leather look pieces are quite in this Winter and these leggings were 2 for R400 at Cotton On. There are lots of other styles to choose from but they’re selling out quick so hurry!  If you are embracing the leather trend, do be careful not to wear too many pieces together. Leather is a tricky fabric and there’s a fine line between fashionable and trashy. Lace is also pretty big for Winter and I also find it is more effective in smaller doses. This necklace from My Sister’s Closet is the perfect way to add a bit of lace to your outfit.

I really am learning to stop trying to fit in and just let who I am shine through in my outfits. I am so grateful to every single one of my readers and followers for playing the biggest and sweetest role in this process. You really are awesome!

{OOTD} | OH MY GOTH!

Woolworths Velvet Leggings | Jay Jays Top | Trafaluc. @ ZARA Boots | Topshop Choker | Topshop Hat | Swarovski Spiral Ring | Gifted(from Mom) Teardrop Rings | RE: @ Woolworths Skull Ring | Vintage Cuff

I have always been intrigued by the dark and mysterious features of Goth fashion. What especially mesmerized me was the use of different textures like lace, leather and velvet altogether. Having saying this though, I have only admired this daring form of expression from afar, finding it very impractical to adopt the style myself. With “Goth” and “Glam Rock” being somewhat in right now, there are many Goth-inspired pieces in the stores and I found a way to bring Goth-like elements into my usual look. This outfit is what I’ve come up with.

I love this top because it’s just… fun! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen it in a photo or two because I’ve been wearing it a lot lately. The velvet leggings are one of the most comfortable things I own. I got them two years ago from Woolworths and they still look and feel new.

My Mom bought me the teardrop rings last weekend in Ballito. I love the Ying-Yang sort of effect they have when worn together. The cuff was also bought by my Mom sometime in the early 90s in Saudi Arabia. It is hand-engraved, sterling silver with enamel details. I’m sure you all know the Swarovski spiral ring (From Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors” music video) because I couldn’t stop blabbing about it when I got it!

OH MY GOTH! It’s almost the weekend! ;)

{OOTD} I ♥ Dinosaurs

After over a year of blogging and encouragement from lots of amazing friends I finally gathered up the courage to pose for an outfit post. Even as I am typing this, I am so nervous! I have always, like every girl, had issues with the way I look but I’ve decided to just wear what I always do and take the plunge.

Woolworths RE: Jeans | Forever 21 Top | Chinatown Boots | Koukla @ YDE Jacket

I bought this top at Forever 21 on my trip to the UAE this year. My youngest brother and I have a slight obsession with dinosaurs. We have hundreds of dinosaur related stuff like stuffed toys, stickers, stationery, crockery and lots more. I love it when I can wear a bit of my personality in my clothes or accessories.

The boots are from a Chinese store and they were super cheap. On the downside, the left shoe is a little smaller than the right one which is suuuuuuper uncomfortable but I suffer through it because they look so fab ;)

Woolworths’ RE: is one of my favourite denim brands. I have lots of pairs of skinny jeans from them and they’re really comfy and affordable. They wash well too. I just chuck them in the washing machine and dryer and they’re good to go.

Until next time
